Red Ribbon Week Reading: We will continue Module 2 of Wit & Wisdom and complete lessons 6-10. We will continue reading Seven Blind Mice and begin Me...Jane. Skills: Determine the lessons of fables. Identify the main topic and retell key details of a text. Describe connections between two pieces of information about animals. Grammar: Verbs (determining shades of meaning with related words), speaking in complete sentences and end punctuation. Writing: Students will write an informative paragraph including topic sentence, key details, and a conclusion sentence. Complete sentences including a capital letter and a period, capitalize proper nouns, and responding to the text through writing, Phonics: Spelling Words: Sight Words (up to this point): the, said, of, do, to, into, who, you, your, color, what, are, from, friend, their, there, come, some, does, goes, been, put, want, was, where, two, done, one, sure, don't, won't Math: Module 2 Lessons 6-10 (Topic A) Lesson 6: Use the commutative property to make ten. Lesson 7-8: Make ten when one addend is 8. Lesson 9: Compare efficiency of counting on and making ten when one addend is 10.
