Reading: We will review all of our Module 1 Texts to complete the End of Module Task. We will use Tomas and the Library Lady, Waiting for the Biblioburro, My Librarian is a Camel, That Book Woman, and Green Eggs and Ham. Skills: Express understanding of story elements by writing the setting and character for the first sentence in the End of Module Task, Make connections between module texts, Write a sequenced narrative, Write the resolution to a narrative, and Write and speak to show understanding of the module Learning Goals. Grammar: Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, and Types of Sentences Writing: Narrative Writing Complete sentences including a capital letter and a period, capitalize proper nouns, and responding to the text through writing, Use time order words when writing (First, Next, Then, Last). Students will write and illustrate a narrative about a character whose life has changed because of books. Phonics: Reading and spelling a-e, e-e, i-e, o-e, u-e, Contractions Spelling Words: get, best, help, pick, go, hi, ten, am, black, him, you, what Sight Words (up to this point): the, said, of, do, to, into, who, you, your, color, what, are, from, friend, their, there, come, some, does, goes, been, put, want, was, where, two, done, one, sure, don't, won't Math: Module 1 Lessons 38-39 (Topic J) Lesson 38: Look for and make use of repeated reasoning and structure, using the addition chart to solve subtraction problems. Lesson 39: Analyze the addition chart to create sets of related addition and subtraction facts.
