Reading: We will be ending this reading module this week. Students will be discussing how all the books build their knowledge. We will begin our study on Cinderella stories.
Skills: generate and ask questions using key details from the text, use illustrations and details to describe its characters, setting, and events. Spelling:We are continuing to study multisyllabic words. Sample words: cupcake, reptile, excuse, inside, include, inhale, flagpole, mistake, trombone, admire, concrete, athlete, dislike, inflate, springtime, fireman, pileup, lifelong, baseball, rosebud Trick Words: little, been, own, want Grammar: adjectives, conjunctions, compound sentences Writing:Write an original story using sensory and feelings words Math: Module 5 lessons 6-10 Lesson 6: Create a composite shape from three-dimensional shapes and describe the composite shape using names and positions. Lesson 7: Name and count shapes as parts of a whole, recognizing relative sizes of the parts. Lessons 8 and 9: Partition shapes and identify halves and quarters of circles and rectangles. Lesson 10: Construct a paper clock by partitioning a circle and tell time to the hour. Science: We will be studying the parts of a plant and how we know they are living things. Comments are closed.
