Skills: distinguish between stories that provide information and tell stories, make real life connections to the word powerful and soar, identify main topic and details, and gather evidence from different sources. Grammar: Singular and plural nouns Writing: Writing informative paragraphs using multiple sources Spelling: Students will learn segmenting and blending up to 5 sounds, suffixes s, ed, and ing, and vowel team sounds for oa, oe, ow, ou, oo, ue, ew, au, and aw. We will be studying these words for 3 weeks. Sample spelling words: blast, grunt, stump, crunch, drift, twist, crisp, blend, craft, slept, slump, stamp, stand, stunt, blimp, cramp, plump, plant, shrimp, squint, grand, crust, spend, crept, ranch, stung, blank, swing, stink, bring, skunk, sting, truck, prank, blink, drink, shrink, Frank, drank shrunk Trick words: any, many Math: Modul 4 lessons 3-7 Lesson 3: Interpret two digit numbers either tens and some ones or as all ones. Lesson 4: Write and interpret two-digit numbers as addition sentences that combine tens and ones. Lesson 5: Identify 10 more, 10 less, 1 more, and 1 less than a two digit number. Lesson 6: Use dimes and pennies as representations of tens and ones. Lesson 7: Compare two quantities, and identify the greater or lesser of the two given numbers.
