Reading: Cendrillon, Cinderella, The Rough Face Girl, and Bigfoot Cinderrrrrella
skills: compare and contrast the adventures and experiences of the main characters in Cinderella and Cendrillon, retell a story using key details, use illustrations and details to describe Rough-Face Girl, and generate and answer questions. Spelling: This unit students will learn about adding suffixes such as s, ing, and ed to multisyllabic words, and suffix es added to baseboards with closed syllables. We will study these words for three weeks. Sample words: bedbugs, dishpans, napkins, unzips, tenpins, tomcats, cobwebs, sunsets, bathtubs, dentists, cupcakes, mistakes, dislikes, publishing, finishing, insulting, indented expected, invented, insisted Trick words: work, word, write Grammar:compound sentences and pronouns Writing:Write an opinion paragraph Math: We will begin Module 6 lessons 1-5 Lesson 1: Solve compare with difference unknown problem types Lesson 2: Solve compare with bigger or smaller unknown problem types Lesson 3: Use the place value chart to record and name tens and ones within a two-digit number up to 100 Lesson 4: Write and interpret two-digit numbers to 100 as addition sentences that combine tens and ones Lesson 5: Identify 10 more, 10 less, 1 more, and 1 less than a two-digit number within 100.
